Welcome to Lakeland Rowing Club
Join us on the water!
We’re a small, friendly club with junior and senior sections - and regular learn-to-row courses - based at Keswick on Derwentwater, in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District National Park.
Our members scull for fitness and fun - and compete successfully on the local, national and world stages - in singles, doubles and quads. We also have occasional outings on the lake in pairs, fours and an eight.
For information about learning to scull with us, please see below. If you’re an experienced sculler or rower interesting in joining, click through to our membership information.
If you’re visiting the area and would like to join us for an outing, or are thinking about organising a rowing camp, here’s what you need to know.
Whatever your rowing ambition, we look forward to hearing from you!
Become a Lakeland sponsor
As a charity, our aim is to introduce the widest possible range of people, of all backgrounds and ages, to the physical and mental health benefits of rowing. To do this, we rely on the support of generous individuals and organisations. In recent years, these have included The Rowing Foundation, The Hadfield Trust, Active Cumbria, Cumberland Building Society, Lingholm Estates and United Utilities.
We would love you to join them! Here’s how you can become a Lakeland Rowing Club sponsor.
