Join Lakeland Rowing Club

Whether you are an experienced rower, or have just completed a learn-to-row course with us or elsewhere, we would love you to join us. If you are lapsed or active, keen to coach or cox, a seasoned competitor, a leisure rower – or simply looking for a low-cost social membership, Lakeland Rowing Club is the place for you. We welcome members of all abilities, junior and adult, and cater for both social rowing and competitive sculling.

We meet to row, train and socialise at weekends all year round. From April to September, there are organised evening sessions on the lake, and when the nights get darker, we head to the gym in Keswick and Cockermouth. Members with more flexible schedules also organise impromptu daytime outings. Being a hardy Cumbrian club, we row come rain or shine (wind and light permitting), so there are plenty of opportunities to get on the water.

Annual membership runs from 1 April, and for members joining for the first time part-way through the year, it is priced pro rata by quarter.
