Ally, Gordon, Andy and Mark set out on the Tour de Windermere
A crew from Lakeland Rowing Club has completed the rowing equivalent of a marathon, circumnavigating England’s largest natural lake in testing conditions.
The 21-mile sponsored journey around Windermere took five-and-a-half hours and raised more than £300 towards the Portinscale-based club’s new facilities.

Victory for junior women on LRC Boat Race day by Dominic Mills
Boat Race day took on new meaning on Derwentwater on Sunday as, while Oxford and Cambridge universities prepared to do battle on the Thames, crews from Lakeland Rowing Club were vying for trophies named after local rivers and islands.

King Pocky's Derwent Water Regatta in Crow Park in Keswick is an event organised by the National Trust offering low-cost watersports and free family activities.
This year LRC had a stand at the event with a 250m Ergo Challenge which proved to be very popular in spite of the rain. The club also took the opportunity to offer visitors to the event Rowing Taster sessions in one of our stable boats.
