Lakeland Rowing Club is a small but friendly rowing club affiliated to British Rowing. Our base is in the North Lakes, at Derwent Water Marina, Portinscale on Derwentwater near Keswick.
We are fortunate to row on one of the most beautiful stretches of water in the Lake District, and surrounded by the beautiful fells typical of the Western Lake District.
We have an active membership base which is growing nicely with our Learn to Row courses aimed at beginners of all ages and rowers returning to the sport.
We welcome ALL guests and visiting Clubs who we encourage to visit our waters for training camp weekends. We now have four British Rowing qualified Instructors and Coaches.
Please come and join us for a row!!

Lakeland Rowing Club is expanding so rapidly that it has outgrown its current rented base at Derwent Water Marina. The Club is concerned that unless it finds a new base soon it will be forced to limit its membership. LRC has prepared a detailed prospectus, which explains its activities as a local community sports club and its plans for future growth. We would be interested to hear from any landowner about any prospective Derwentwater lake-shore site. If you are able to help, please get in touch.
LRC are pleased to have received generous sponsorship donations from the Keswick Post Office and the Keswick Lions towards the cost of our new boat trailer.
Our 2017 Learn to Row Courses are now completely sold out, but feel free to get in touch with us via the contact us page on the website if you'd like to have your name added to the waiting list for one of our courses. Alternatively you can 'like' us on Facebook to make sure you're the first to hear when the next Learn to Row course dates have been released.
